Laura started at Alphavet as an Animal Nursing Assistant in 2005 having gained her National Diploma and NVQ in Animal Management. She progressed to become a Receptionist as she enjoys the client and animal interaction and this is where her passion lies. She has an inquisitive ferret called Velvet, named due to getting stuck in a toilet roll tube. Laura adopted Velvet from the practice after she was handed in as a stray and no owner came forward, and now she is part of her little family, getting stuck wherever she can.
''Being at front of house allows me to meet and greet all the pets coming into the practice. It is very satisfying as I am involved in the journey through their treatment and I am able to help and reassure pet owners at all stages.''
