Understanding those puppy eyes
Taking care of your best friend At Alphavet, we provide dedicated veterinary care for dogs so that they live a full and happy life. From routine care to specialist treatments, we are there for you and your dog when you need us. From a tiny Chihuahua to a Great Dane, each dog has their very own unique personality and will be treated as an individual. We own dogs too so we understand how important it is to you that your dog is treated with compassion and respect at all times. This is just one of our core values.
Protection for life After your dog has had their initial puppy vaccines, they need an annual booster to top up their immunity. We will send you reminders to let you know when these are due. All dogs should also receive a Bordetellosis intranasal vaccine, which is simply drops, placed in a nostril to protect against Kennel Cough.
What if my dog needs surgery? We take every care possible with all cases. Our team of veterinary professionals carry out a wide range of procedures from minor surgery to more advanced referral surgery. All procedures are carried out to the highest possible standards with minimum discomfort to your dog. Pre- and post-operative care is provided so that your dog makes a quick recovery.
Total care Please call our main line. Your call will be diverted to our emergency service (Vets Now in Newport) which covers out of hours. From sorting out matted coats and dental hygiene to keyhole surgery and physiotherapy, we provide the full scope of dog care. We have breed-specific knowledge and advice to give. Provide your dog with high-quality care by registering them now with Alphavet, or call us.
Puppy care Getting a puppy is an exciting time and with the right love and care, your new puppy will make a great addition to the family. As soon as you get the puppy it is important to get them checked and registered with a vet. This is where Alphavet can help. We will give your puppy a full health check and give you advice to meet all your puppy's needs. We provide them with puppy vaccinations and parasite prevention so that they are protected whilst discovering the great outdoors and meeting new friends. Most of the puppies we see join our free puppy’s first year scheme, run by our nursing team. This is a fun way to get them familiar with Alphavet so that it is never a frightening place for them to come.
Socialisation of a puppy is very important, as is getting them familiar with coming to the vet. We will quickly build up a relationship with the puppy so that they feel calm and confident when they come and visit us. Register your puppy with us today.
